Families Interested in Research Studies (FIRSt)

To join the FIRSt database, you must be currently expecting a child or have children between the ages of newborn to 18 years. Studies may be online or in person. All research is conducted by investigators at Penn State and approved by the University’s Office of Research Protections.

Requirements for each study may differ. A full explanation of the study will be provided when you are invited to participate and at that time, you can decide whether you wish to participate in the study. You can agree to participate in some studies and decline to participate in others. Some individuals in the database may never be contacted. You may receive compensation if you participate in a study.
